Canadian arrested
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police took an adult male into custody last Thursday at the Lynden Pindling International Airport, after they recovered a quantity of suspected drugs.
According to police reports, shortly after 3:00 p.m., Drug Enforcement Officers, while on duty at the Lynden Pindling International Airport and acting on information, conducted a search of the luggage of an adult Canadian male, who had just arrived on a flight from London.
Police recovered six packages of suspected Heroin from the traveller.
The man was taken into custody and is expected to be formally charged before a Magistrate Court this week.
The suspected drugs weighted 9.5 lbs with an estimated street value of $90,000.
