Students protest removal of teacher

Students of the Louise McDonald High School in Bimini on Tuesday protested the removal of their Language Arts teacher who was relocated to New Providence.

As video of the protest made the rounds on social media, Education Director Marcellus Taylor told Eyewitness News that the school’s principal made the decision as a means to better accommodate the 71 students registered at the school.

He said the removal does not create a shortage but will cause the school to better utilize its staff.
