Residents residing in shanty towns will receive their final notice of eviction as early as next week, according to Labour Minister Dion Foulkes.

Speaking to Eyewitness News on the matter, the minister – who led the Shanty Town Review Committee – reiterated that the process is all in an effort to ensure that those who reside in The Bahamas, are living in proper accommodations.

According to Foulkes, the majority of the residents have reportedly already relocated.
