This is a very sad situation and unfortunately a result of the stress and hopelessness brought on be the mishandling of the current situation. It seem as if there was no thought taken to the mental issues that a continued lockdown and the financial stress it would cause. The uncertainty of not knowing how you will be able to provide for your family and oneself causes people to do desperate things. This unfortunately will continue because of the government’s approach in fighting this “pandemic”. There is no sensible plan to get the economy going again and as a result more of this will occur.
