Police recover unlicensed shotgun and ammo in Haitian shanty town

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – An adult male was taken into custody and is expected to be formally charged before a magistrate court this week, after police found a gun and ammunition in his home, located in a shanty town Haitian community on Sea Breeze Lane.

According to police reports, shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Friday, January 18, Anti-Gang and Firearms Officers conducted a search of the home and recovered an unlicensed shotgun and seven rounds of ammunition.
