Police investigate two armed robberies

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police on the Island of New Providence are seeking the public’s assistance in apprehending the suspects responsible for two separate robbery incidents that occurred on Tuesday, April 16, 2019.

In the first incident, shortly after 3:00p.m., three males armed with firearms entered a business establishment on Market Street and Oxford Avenue and robbed the cashier, before making good their escape in a black Suzuki Swift.

In the second incident, shortly before 12:00a.m., a male was standing outside a residence on Golden Palm Estates when he was approached by a lone male armed with a shot gun who robbed him of a silver 2006 Nissan March.

Police are appealing to members of the public, who may have information that can assist with these investigations, to contact the Central Detective Unit at 502-9991/2, Crime stoppers at 328-TIPS (8477) or the nearest police station.

Investigations are ongoing.
