Police discover drugs and ammunition in GB

Police are on the hunt for several suspects in connection with the discovery of $6,000 worth of marijuana and 100 rounds of ammunition.

The first incident took place shortly after 11:00 a.m. on Friday in Grand Bahama, according to police.

Police said acting on information, officers went to Alcester Road and during a search discovered a black plastic bag with 50 .9mm ammunition and 50 .40 rounds of ammunition.

In the second incident, while in the area of Drake Avenue, officers searched bushes where they discovered two clear plastic packages and a bag containing suspected marijuana. The drugs, police said, weigh an estimated six pounds and have an approximate value of about $6,000.

No arrests have been made in any of these matters, according to police.
