NASSAU, BAHAMAS — Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) recently received the donation of a Portable X-ray machine from FitPart Fund Administration Services Limited.

FitPart made the donation, valued at US$57,075, in an effort to aid the National COVID-19 Relief Strategy.

The compact design weighs only 147 pounds, making it easy to transport between sites and set up for operation in less than one minute. The system allows for image acquisition in less than 10 seconds, enhancing workflow in clinical areas.

Making the donation on behalf of FitPart was company representative Andrea Bethell. FitPart and its founders/principals/investors are Brazilians with more than 25 years of experience in the international financial and capital markets.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Public Hospitals Authority (PHA) and PMH was Anthone Ward, PhD, director of shared services, who worked with Bethell to make the donation a reality.

Ward expressed the sincere gratitude felt by PMH staff for such a generous and timely donation.

The PHA said the portable X-ray machine will help to improve workflow and the patient experience in key areas of the hospital, including the Special Pathogens Unit and Legacy Units, where it will assist in the treatment of COVID-19-positive patients.
