OWN Bahamas awarded three Bahamian entrepreneurs with nearly $30,000 in business grants Wednesday morning.

The OWN Bahamas Entrepreneurship Program selected two $10,000 recipients and one $7,500 recipient to join the mentorship program.

The initiative, which was launched in 2014, provides young business hopefuls with cash grants, technical support, and business training to launch their unique business ideas.

The three winners Sherwin Johnson of Bahamas Nightlife, Nikita Kenny of Conch ‘n’ Cone and Salina Bain of La Papiere said, they are excited for the opportunity to grow their businesses.

OWN Bahamas opened applications for its fourth annual entrepreneurship competition on March 27.

The competition encouraged Bahamians to submit their business ideas within new or existing industries.
