Munnings, ULM end regular season with win over Little Rock
Travis Munnings.

University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM) forward Travis Munnings continues to play well for the Warhawks. He closed out the regular season on Saturday with a 23-point, seven-rebound performance in a 79-62 win over Arkansas-Little Rock.

ULM will now move on to the Sun Belt Conference tournament where it hopes to qualify for the NCAA Tournament this month.

Munnings has played off the ball more this season than at any other point in his collegiate career. When asked about the adjustment, he said that he was willing to try something new to help the team.

“Me and coach had a sit down at the beginning of the year and we came to the realization that I won’t lead the team in scoring every night,” Munnings said. “So, I made up in my mind that I’ll just play according to what the defense gives me night to night.

“I know that there are a lot of things I can do on the court to help us win outside of scoring. I know I can control my attitude and my effort, and I try my best to be a leader in different ways.”

Munnings averaged 14 points and seven rebounds over the course of the regular season.
