NASSAU, BAHAMAS — The Bahamas Football Association (BFA) looks to rejuvenate its women’s program with the recent addition of former Canadian national team player and League1 Ontario women’s division commissioner Carmelina Moscato as the director of women’s football.

She also held assistant coaching positions with the University of Wisconsin and the Louisville Cardinals. Moscato, in a recent statement on social media, said she’s excited to begin her journey with Team Bahamas.

“I am sending this Tweet from The Bahamas, where I will be embarking on a new journey as their director of women’s football for the Bahamas Football Association,” she said.

“I truly believe it’s better to not get attached to people, places or things, but rather causes and purpose. I have a burning desire to grow the game in general, but specifically for girls and women. I hope to leave an impact here.”
