Police in Eleuthera and New Providence successfully seized a quantity of suspected marijuana and marijuana plants Thursday afternoon, according to the Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF).
Report said after 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Eleuthera Division officers conducted a search of a home in Eleuthera Island Shores.
Eleuthera police said upon searching the residence, they uncovered a quantity of suspected marijuana and nine marijuana plants.
After searching a second home and property in the area, officers found an additional 15 marijuana plants, police said.
According to place, a man and a woman were in the home at the time of the raid and were subsequently taken into custody. The duo is expected to face drug charges sometime next week.
Two hours after the drug seizure in Eleuthera, officers of the South Eastern Division in New Providence searched a home and property on Gilda Street, Kennedy Subdivision, where they said they found a quantity of suspected marijuana.
While they did not give any other particulars about the drug kind, police said, a man was taken into custody and will be formally charged next week.
