Missing girl found alive and safe

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police confirmed last night that 13-year-old Angel Knowles of Kendall Avenue, South Beach Estates, who was reported missing since last week Friday was found on Monday night alive and safe.

“Angel Knowles has been found and is presently speaking with officers; she is in good health,” police press liaison officer Supt. Shanta Knowles told the media shortly after 9:00 p.m. last night.

Knowles’ mother had launched a desperate search for her child, which started with a Facebook post on Sunday morning, appealing to anyone with information on her missing child to step forward with assistance.

The matter was initially reported to the South Beach Police Station and by 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon, Knowles’ mother was directed to visit the Quakoo Street Police Station after residents near St. Barnabas Church claimed to have seen a young female fitting the description of the lost child.

Law enforcement officials issued a missing persons bulletin for Knowles on Monday afternoon and on Monday night she was found.

Police did not state where Knowles was found.
