NASSAU, BAHAMAS — An 18-year-old man was arraigned in the Magistrate’s Court today on charges of unlawful sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl.

Mark Strachan, of Honey Creeper Lane, appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Andrew Forbes and charged with two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse and one count of child pornography.

Prosecutors allege that sometime between January 1 to March 31, 2020, and March 31 to April 30, 2020, Strachan had unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.

Strachan is also accused of producing sexually explicit videos of him having unlawful sexual intercourse with the young girl between January 1 and March 28.

He was represented by Attorney Tamara Taylor-Storr but was not required to enter a plea.

Storr was remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services and advised of his right to apply for bail in the Supreme Court.

He is expected to return to court for a Voluntary Bill of Indictment on November 2, 2020.
