LRA Old Bahama Bay Limited prepares for transition

FREEPORT, GRAND BAHAMA – As of today, January 21, 2019, Old Bahama Bay Limited (OBB), will temporarily close their marina operations, in order to make proper arrangements for a future operator.

“OBB has previously provided appropriate lease termination notice to its tenant, Island Ventures Resort and Club, Ltd. (IVRC), which has also been affirmed by the Bahamian Courts,” outlined a statement released Sunday from OBB.

The statement further outlined that LRA, the owners of the marina and other assets at Old Bahama Bay continue the process of transitioning the operation and ownership of their assets.

“The OBB owners and representatives, like so many Grand Bahamians, have actively supported the significant efforts going into the future success of West End.

“IVRC and the condo owners separately manage the rental of their condo units, which remain open at the West End.

“During the transition, LRA OBB Limited will be coordinating efforts with the various resort food and beverage, tour services, retail services and marina operators as well as resort investors to plan for a revitalized resort and community,” the statement concluded.
