Aliv, the newest mobile service provider, is now on Long Island. The southern addition is the sixth for the company outside of the capital.

Damian Blackburn, Aliv’s chief officer said, the launch was slightly delayed but the company is excited to finally provide telecommunication services to Long Islanders within a matter of weeks.

“We’ve made good on our promise and we apologize that it has taken a little bit longer than we have planned,” Blackburn said.

“This is absolutely fantastic news for Long Islanders and you will now be able to experience the Aliv network and service the exact same way we have delivered on every other island.”

The company’s official launch will be rolled out on March 23.

Aliv entered the market on Nov 11, 2016. Since its arrival, the company has launched in New Providence, Grand Bahama, Abaco, Bimini, Eleuthera and Exuma.

Blackburn confirmed that Aliv expects to establish service in San Salvador and Cat Island in the not-so-distant future.
