The Department of Labour opened a one-stop-shop service for job seekers at the City Corporate Centre at it’s Rosetta Street headquarters on Monday.

The project is part of the Citizens Security Project funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

Labour Minister Dion Foulkes said the facility is an added help for job seekers to find gainful employment on an integrated system.

A number of government officials were on hand for the opening, including Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis, who touted the plan as a key element in reversing the rising unemployment figures.

Walter Nelson, a representative for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) said, the plan is specifically aimed at assisting at-risk youth.
