JS Johnson celebrates 100 years in business

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – As JS Johnson Insurance Agents and Brokers celebrate 100 years of being in business, Robert Bartlett , the company’s senior marketing manager said their focus this year is on giving back to the community.

Bartlett, pictured, told Eyewitness News Online yesterday at a press conference held to celebrate the company’s 100thanniversary celebration, that much of the company’s efforts this year will be focused on a number of children’s charities.

“We will be working and providing not only monetary donations, but physical donations to children’s homes and other charities throughout the year,” Bartlett said.

The senior marketing manager said the company has also partnered with various community organizations in The Bahamas such as Hands for Hunger.

Last month, the company teamed up with Hands for Hunger for their first community market of the year.

Bartlett said the company volunteered to donate over 7,000 pounds of fresh produce to families in the Nassau Village community.

Bartlett said JS Johnson has also sponsored The Bahamas National Trust and they have worked with BNT’s discovery club.

As the company will be celebrating its 100 birthday all year, Bartlett invited JS Johnson clients to participate in the company’s fun run walk on Labor Day as it will be free of charge.

Meanwhile Bartlett said JS Johnson is the oldest and largest general insurance agency in The Bahamas. He also explained that the Insurance Company of The Bahamas was formed as an extension of JS Johnson.

“The Insurance Company of the Bahamas was formed when a number of international companies decided to leave this market,” he said.
