With no venue secured as yet for his upcoming bout with American Christopher Pearson, Bahamian middleweight Tureano Johnson said he’s open to the idea of bringing the match to The Bahamas.

Johnson is expected to take Pearson in November, but no official date has been given up to this point.

“I’ve always loved the idea of fighting at home,” Johnson said.

“It’s really something that I’d like to do. In the past we visited that idea, however, there were elements ahead of me that I had no control over. Some of those things I still have no control of, but hopefully, everything can come together and I get a chance to fight at home.

“Whenever I do fight at home, I want the entire public to see me, not just people with money or people that are staying at the hotels. I want everyone to be able to see me.”

Johnson suffered the injury in his last fight, a 12th round technical knockout (TKO) loss to Sergiy Derevyanchenko, of Ukraine, in August of 2017.
