GB police make significant arrests

GRAND BAHAMA – Police in the nation’s second city recovered a quantity of marijuana from a home on Wednesday, May 22, 2019.

According to police, officers of the Drug Enforcement Unit, shortly after 8:00p.m. on Wednesday, while armed with a search warrant, went to a residence on Glencoe Circle, where they uncovered 1.5 lbs. of suspected marijuana with a street value of $1,500 and one Glock pistol with nineteen .9mm ammunition.

Five males were arrested and taken into police custody.

Officers of the Mobile Division in Grand Bahama also took six persons into custody for various matters related to drug possession, illegal status, and having outstanding warrants of arrest issued by the magistrate’s court.

Officers of the Rapid Response Unit also took into police custody two suspects in connection to murder.
