NASSAU, BAHAMAS- Eric Francis emerged as the winner of the inaugural P1 Aqua X Bahamas World Championships.

Francis edged out former champ Brian Baldwin and Broward Motorsport teammate Chris MacClugage on the final day of competition in the Pro Enduro series to win the title.

“My aim here in the Bahamas was to take the World Title and regain my number one world ranking,” Francis said following the win. “I have enjoyed a double celebration today with it being my wedding anniversary and my wife Sophie racing with me here at the Atlantis Paradise Island.”

Thomas Favolini was an early favorite to win it all after a strong showing on opening day, however, several mechanical issues kept him off the medal podium.

The P1 AquaX Bahamas World Championship featured the top 40 professional jet ski riders worldwide who have qualified through a series of national and continental races.

Officially kicking off in Daytona Beach back in April, the 14-event P1 Aqua X season included race series in the United States, mainland Europe, and the United Kingdom.

The P1 AquaX Bahamas is a collaborative partnership between the Nassau Paradise Island Promotion Board, Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation and Atlantis.
