Four Ministry of Works employees trained in electric vehicle maintenance

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — The Ministry of Public Works recently held a press conference at its head office, to make the public aware of its intent to go green and go solar.

Minister of Public Works Desmond Bannister said the Ministry cannot be left behind and has to look to the future.

Bannister spoke with Pia and John Farmer, partners in Easy Car Sales, about acquiring electric vehicles.

The Farmers showed Bannister the advantages of electric vehicles compared to gas and hybrid vehicles. The Minister found out that electric vehicles, which are guaranteed for eight years, also can save the buyer monies since you would not have to purchase gas or parts for the vehicle. Minister Bannister congratulated four of the ministry’s employees who were trained in taking care of the electric vehicles.

The Farmers said more training would take place in conjunction with the Ministry.
