National Security Minister Marvin Dames went on the record Wednesday about the increase in police-involved shootings this year.

His comments came one day after Attorney General Carl Bethel revealed that there is no money to speed up the number of inquests in the Coroner’s Court, which deals with police-involved killings.

While admonishing the public to be cooperative and allow due process to run its course, Dames said, the government is currently working on ways to improve efficiency at the courts.
