Ten persons have been confirmed to have conch poisoning since the Ministry of Health put the public on notice two weeks ago.

Initial reports pegged the focal point of the poisoning to Potter’s Cay Dock. The illness’ reach has extended to private functions since then.

Local conch vendors say the alert has definitely impacted their bottom line and told Eyewitness News on Friday that even their best days are now dry as customers heed the ministry’s warning.
