Charlton picks up silver at NCAA Championships

Devynne Charlton, from Purdue, turned in a strong performance on the final day of the 2018 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon, to come up with a silver medal in the women’s 100-metre (m) hurdles.

Charlton crossed the line in 12.77 seconds, closely behind Jasmine Camacho-Quinn from Kentucky, who won gold in the event in 12.70 seconds.

Representing the University of Texas (UT), Pedrya Seymour, was fourth overall in the event in 13.04 seconds.

Over on the field, Kaiwan Culmer from the University of Nebraska (UN), was ninth overall in the men’s triple jump with a leap of 16.09m, while Serena Brown, was 13th in the women’s javelin throw, with a toss of 50.48m.
