BTVI receives donation from Rotary Club of Nassau Sunrise
Leroy Archer, Rotary Club of Nassau Sunrise President, and Immediate Past President Jacqueline Longley made the cheque presentation recently to BTVI President Dr. Robert W. Robertson and BTVI Associate Vice President of Fund.

The Rotary Club of Nassau Sunrise donated a cheque for $1,500 on Friday to the Bahamas Technical & Vocational Institute (BTVI).

The cheque serves as part of Rotary Club of Nassau Sunrise’s investment in education.

According to the President of BTVI Dr. Robert Robertson, 2018 has been a record year for scholarship support.

“I am thankful for the heightened confidence stakeholders have in BTVI and I encourage others to join in the support,” Dr. Robertson said.

“It is donations such as these that make it possible for students to come to BTVI, learn a trade, and then earn a living.

“We are thankful to the Rotary Club of Nassau Sunrise for their continuous support.”

Rotary Club of Nassau Sunrise President Leroy Archer, told Eyewitness News yesterday, that the cheque is “only the beginning” for a youth pilot program, the service based international club will be facilitating.

“For the last three years we have donated cheques to BTVI and I don’t plan to stop,” Archer confirmed.

Rotary International’s mission statement is to provide service to others, promote integrity and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
