Bahamian boxer Lester Brown (3-0) will have to wait a bit longer before he makes his debut under Roy Jones Jr.’s promotional banner, due to a fight cancellation.

Brown was supposed to go up against American David Payne (0-1) at the Claridge Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday, however. The fight was cancelled at the last minute.
“My fight was canceled because my opponent couldn’t make weight,” Brown said.
Both fighters agreed to meet at 135-pounds (lb), however, Payne, who had nearly a five-inch height advantage over Brown, failed to meet the required weight.
Although he’s unsure of his next opponent, Brown, in an interview with Eyewitness News Sports said, he’s expected to fight again in July.
Brown is in the middle of a multi-year contract with a minimum of four fights annually.
