BREAKING: Gas truck ablaze in Harbour Island

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – Police, volunteer firefighters and members of the community are working to contain a massive blaze that started at a gas station in Eleuthera.

Fire Chief Walter Evans confirmed to Eyewitness News Online at least two buildings have been destroyed after a fuel truck with a “large quantity of product” caught on fire this evening.

Evans could not provide further details at this time as teams were still battling the blaze.

He said fire investigators will travel to the island tomorrow morning.
