Henfield: “I tried my best to save as much people as I could”

NASSAU, BAHAMAS – A brawl that erupted at a local pizza parlour on Friday has led a Senator, who was patronizing the eatery at the time, to speak out on Facebook about the horrific incident that unfolded in his presence.

According to police reports, officers responded to a disturbance call around 7:30 p.m. on Friday at a pizza takeaway on Carmichael Road, where it was a reported that a group of males were fighting.

A juvenile male was transported to hospital where he was treated and discharged.

While investigations are ongoing, Senator Ranard Eric Henfield used the Facebook platform to tell of his experience at the pizza parlour on Friday.

Sen. Henfield revealed that around 7:00 p.m., he was standing in line at the pizza parlour when a gang of men “burst” into the establishment, allegedly stabbing and chopping.

“Rocks flew inside and people were falling all over each other,” wrote Henfield on his Facebook page.

“One staff member passed out. One victim of repeated stabs jumped over the counter. The security got hit with a rock like a fast ball at the World Series.

I tried my best to save as much people as I could. The surveillance camera caught everything and the police arrived 30 minutes later.

“I left once I gave the police a statement and up to that point the ambulance had not arrived.”

Sen. Henfield said it appeared as if the males who had entered the establishment were all under the age of 18.

“When a group of boys can burst into a crowded business establishment, slashing and stabbing, I realized this place [The Bahamas] is too far gone,” Sen. Henfield lamented.
