Boy injured in drive-by shooting, listed in serious condition

NASSAU, BAHAMAS — A boy was shot during a drive-by shooting on Jack Fish Drive, shortly after 10am on Saturday, police said.

According to reports, a mother and her son were visiting a friend on Jack Fish Drive when a small vehicle with two occupants pulled up and opened fire in their direction, hitting the boy.

Police said after receiving reports of gunshots in the area, officers responding to the incident came across a private vehicle en route to the hospital with the boy suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

He was listed in serious condition.

The investigation into the matter continues.
