NASSAU, BAHAMAS – University of Nebraska sophomore cornerback Dicaprio Bootle was named to the All Big-Ten Third Team on Thursday. The team is selected by coaches in the conference and media members.

This season, Bootle recorded 39 tackles, 15 more than he logged in his freshman year. He also had 15 pass breakups, which tied for second in school history and the most since 2004.

He ranked fourth in the Big Ten and 17th nationals in passes defended per game.

Nebraska finished fifth overall in the Big Ten at 4-8 overall. It lost its final game 31-28 to Iowa on November 23.

“This season we paid a lot of attention to detail. We tried to use a lot of what we practised in the game and use a lot of what coach Scott (Frost) taught us over the course of the season,” Bootle said about the team’s season. “We really bought into it this year and always worked to crank it up and fine tune things to stay sharp.”
