BAMSI hosts Pajama Forum

BAMSI hosts Pajama Forum

Students at the Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI) College in North Andros have started a new tradition, the ‘Pajama Forum’. The students use the opportunity to educate themselves and bring awareness to important issues that face the agriculture and marine sectors and also their communities, with Wednesday’s event focusing on Sustainability. On hand for the event were students from the University of Maryland, College Park, and Hocking College in Ohio.

Each college was represented by a team of presenters that spoke on various topics concerning sustainability.  BAMSI Student Activities Coordinator Liz Brace was very pleased with the level of participation by the international teams.  While sustainability is a serious issue, the relaxed dress code of pajama wear made the evening informative and fun.

Also participating in the forum with BAMSI were the Bahamas National Trust and Forfar International Field Station.

The BAMSI crew is definitely looking forward to Pajama Forum 2019!
