Bain wins JITIC U-16 tournament
Jacobi Bain emerged as the winner of the 2018 JITIC Under-16 boys singles tournament winner.
In the final game of the event, Bain knocked off Chris Winstead, from Costa Rica, in three sets, 63-6, 6-2 and 6-1.
Bain went undefeated over the course of the three-day event, knocking off Julian Lozano, from Costa Rica, and his teammate Winstead Christian along the way.
Bain will now move on to the doubles portion of the tournament in Jamaica. He’ll team up with Jamaican John Chin and will take on the Costa Rican team of Randy Funez and Damian Rivera in the opening round.
