Bahamian Ambassador to Haiti airlifted home

The Bahamian Ambassador to Haiti His Excellency Jeffery Williams has been admitted to the hospital, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Williams, according to the press release, experienced a medical episode on Tuesday while working at The Bahamas embassy. And although presently in good spirits, the ministry’s statement said that precautionary protocols were activated to ensure the dignitary’s good health continued and arrangements were made to have him brought to The Bahamas for further medical attention.

According to the statement, the Ambassador is presently resting comfortably in hospital and the embassy in Haiti is expected to resume normal working hours on Friday, August 3.
