Challenges persist for the national flag carrier, Bahamasair, which because of technical issues left passengers stranded in Florida over the weekend.

According to Managing Director Tracey Cooper, the flag carrier experienced technical delays with one of its jets over the weekend and that the majority of the issues have been worked out. As a result, passengers were able to get to their final destinations.

Flights coming in and out of South Florida were delayed for hours creating chaos at airports with irate Bahamians and guests trying to enter or leave the country.

A viral video prompted the airline to issue a statement updating passengers and the public at large on the situation.
