Bahamas advances to gold medal game

The Bahamas under-16 boys water polo team scored another win in the pool yesterday as the CCCAN Youth Pan American Qualifying tournament continued in El Salvador.

The Bahamas scored 10-4 win over Costa Rica in the semifinal round of the tournament, and will now take on Puerto Rico in the gold medal game.

Puerto Rico knocked off Trinidad and Tobago 11-5 in the other semifinal.

Gabriel Sastre and Gabriel Encinar led team Bahamas with four goals each. Thor Sasso and Thomas Illing each also added a goal.

The goal medal game is set for 3:30 p.m. local time.
