Team Bahamas fell short of its goal of qualifying for the first edition of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) World Beach Games, but still turned in spirited performances at the qualifier in San Salvador, El Salvador, this past weekend.
A women’s national team was assembled for the first time ever, and they were able to score goals in all three of their matches, and the men finished with a 2-1 win/loss record, ending the tournament in fifth.
