Despite concerns that Bahamian airline Sky Bahamas could be facing eviction from the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA) because of outstanding fees, the company’s head said that is not the case.

In fact, Randy Butler, the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) suggested that the government is at fault for much of the outstanding payments.

Butler made it clear that, while the airline industry is challenged, Sky Bahamas is – by no means – in trouble financially.

He invited Eyewitness News to review company accounts and financial position and has promised full transparency in the process.

Butler also assured consumers that the company operated all weekend through Monday and it expects to operate tomorrow as the company is now in good standing with the Nassau Airport Development Company (NAD).
