3 arraigned for murder

Three men were charged in Magistrate Court Thursday in connection of the murder of Kenneth Clarke back on June 23.

Shaquille Rolle, 21, Tille Brown, 24, and Theo Williams, 25, stood before Magistrate Kara Turnquest-Deveaux and were each charged with murder and the possession of an unlicensed firearm.

According to reports, shortly before 2:00 a.m on June 23, a group of men were in the area of Royal Palm Street, Culmersville, when one of them got into an altercation with another man.

Officers reportedly arrived at the scene and discovered a man with gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel were called to the scene, where they pronounced the man dead

Rolle, Brown and Williams were not allowed to enter a plea to the murder charge, however,  all of the men pleaded not guilty to the possession of an unlicensed firearm charge.

The matter was adjourned to September for service of a voluntary bill of indictment.

Rolle faced a third and separate charge of possession of ammunition and pleaded not guilty.

The group has been sent to the Bahamas Department of Corrections (BDOC) until September 27 at noon, when they are set to stand trial.
