17 packages of suspected marijuana recovered from mailboat

NASSAU, BAHAMAS –  Police in the capital are continuing to investigate the discovery of 17 packages of suspected marijuana which was recovered from a mailboat at Potters Day Dock last Friday.

According to police reports, shortly before 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 7, Central Division Officers, acting on information, went to a vessel at Potters Cay Dock, which had arrived from the island of Exuma.

The officers recovered two boxes which contained 17 packages of suspected marijuana.

The suspected drugs weighed 100lbs and had a street value of  $100,000.00

No arrest was made in these incidents and investigations are ongoing.
